Mario Day Specials and Savings on Nintendo Switch eShop

Mario Day is a yearly celebration of everyone’s favorite ex-plumber. This annual “holiday” takes place on March 10th, hence it’s often spelled as MAR10 Day. Nintendo has officially acknowledged Mario Day dating back as early as 2016. This year’s Mario Day is special, as it also takes place during Mario’s 35th anniversary. This year, Nintendo is celebrating the mustached Italian with multiple in-game offers, and eShop sales! Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Sales Four of Mario and friends’ Nintendo Switch adventures are 35% on the Nintendo Switch eShop. These Mario Day sales last from now until March 13th. The first game on sale is 2018’s Super Mario Party. Acting almost as a Mario Party reboot, this title offers many intuitive mini-games, based on the technology the Nintendo Switch has to offer. Next up is another title from 2018, Mario Tennis Aces. Aces was the awaited return to form for the series needed after 2015’s Ultra Smash flopped. 2019’s Super Mario Maker 2 is the next game on sale. The smash-hit sequel to the Wii U title offers players an easy way to create and share their own Mario levels. The last game on sale, Luigi’s Mansion 3, shines the spotlight on Mario’s little brother Luigi. The 3rd entry in the series is the largest title yet, featuring many collectibles and rooms to explore. These four games are currently available online, and on on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $38.99 USD. In addition to the games mentioned, the official Nintendo Store is also offering 35% off Mario-themed apparel. This includes teeshirts, hats, hoodies, and more! These sales apply both online, and at the Nintendo NY Store.   Super Mario In-Game Events There are still many enjoying the free-to-play mobile game Mario Kart Tour. Those can look forward to the upcoming Mario Tour event, which features new drivers, karts, and gliders. Besides featuring the Tokyo Blur 4 course, not much else is known. This event kicks off today on Andriod and IOS devices and ends March 23rd. Another smartphone title, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, is also celebrating Mario Day. This crossover event will offer Mario-themed poses and returning event items. My Nintendo members can even participate in new missions. Players can also receive a free in-game Mario hat cushion, just for simply logging in during the event period. The Mario mayhem runs from now until March 23rd. Back in February Animal Crossing New Horizons also dropped their Mario Themed items. These include warp-pipes, flagpoles, coins, special clothing, and much more. All of the Mario items can be purchased via the Nook Stop terminal. First, navigate to the “Nook Shopping” section. Players can then purchase up to 5 items a day. Items are purchased via in-game bells.   The special Mario-themed Nintendo Switch console is also available for purchase, via the Nintendo Store. The console, in addition to the dock and Joy-Con controllers, display Mario’s trademark red color. The console comes bundled with a special edition case and a screen protector. The bundle is available now for $299.99 USD.   How will you be celebrating Mario Day? Let us know in the comments and on social media!
