It’s that time of year again when Atlus releases its annual survey – asking fans about their gaming habits as well as what games and series they would like to see more of in the future. This time around, there’s also an English version of the survey open to residents in North America. You can still participate if you live outside this region.
This year’s survey will open until 15th May (that’s today) and contains a total of 49 questions. Once again, it wants to know what platforms it should release series like Persona, Etrian Odyssey and the Shin Megami Tensei series on – with the Nintendo Switch / Switch Lite as options. It then asks what platforms fans would like to play on, with the Switch once again being an option.
It goes on to ask about remakes (with new elements like improved visuals and controls) – and what platforms these titles should be made available on. The Switch is once again included in the choices. A later question asks about games it should port – with options like should Persona 5 / Royal be brought across to the Switch, and even games like Persona Q series.
What games would you like to see Atlus release, remake and port? Leave your thoughts down below.
Nope. Don’t care anymore. When they put Joker in Smash I thought Persona ports would happen, when they put P5 Strikers on Switch, I thought it would happen because it’s literally a direct continuation of P5’s story, and when they put out surveys last year and the year before, I thought it would happen.
With the Switch being the only system I have, I’ve simply lost all interest in Persona and I haven’t even played it. They’ve done a poor job of getting Switch owners invested in the series, and there’s too many other games coming out that have my interest (Mario Strikers Battle League, FE Warriors Three Hopes, Xenoblade 3, and possibly Splatoon 3 as well), so I simply don’t have time to worry about games like Persona and whether or not they’ll come to Switch. I loved SMT V, but this is just tiring at this point.
As for Persona and Shin Migami Tensei, I personally have never cared for their theming; that’s no knock on the fans who do, they’re just not my cup of tea. Etrian Odyssey is a series I’ve read about but am not familiar with, but it looks like something I might enjoy.
A job posting for Persona 5 was looking for people with experience coding for switch (not by name, obviously) … I remember it because it’s one of the first job posting that mentioned the system. I didn’t even think dev kits had gone out at the time … I wouldn’t see one for over a year after seeing that.
A remember a data mine suggesting it supported touch controls as well.
